Actual demand as the key to success
An important success factor in retail is inventory optimization. As a retailer, you need to find the right balance between the constant availability of goods requested by customers and the avoidance of excess stock. If this balancing act is successful, it has a noticeable effect on day-to-day business: Your customers find the items they are looking for, are more satisfied thanks to better availability and more precise order quantities and times lead to optimized and more cost-effective logistics. A nice side effect is increased sustainability, as less overproduction and fewer returns not only save costs, but also protect the environment.
Everything at a glance - with TORY®RFID
Keeping an eye on stock usually means counting it. Regular stocktaking is time-consuming, cost-intensive and ties up staff who should actually be looking after customers.
This is where our autonomous robot TORY® RFID comes into play: it ensures that you know exactly which goods you need to reorder every day. To do this, the AMR moves through the store completely autonomously and reads the RFID labels attached to the items with an accuracy of around 99%. The recorded data can be used to determine which and how many items are on the sales floor and in the warehouse. The robot also determines exactly where the goods are located. So if TORY RFID finds items in the wrong area of the store, staff can put things in order.
Highlights
With TORY® RFID, an inventory can be carried out every day! This means that you as a retailer always have the data you need to (re)order goods when required. Overstocks can be minimized using real data without jeopardizing the availability of goods.
The regular use of an inventory robot and the resulting stock optimization has several effects: Oders can be adjusted to actual demand. The store's warehouse is therefore optimally stocked at all times to ensure sufficient replenishment for the sales floor without being overfilled. This minimizes returns of unsold goods and, ideally, goods that are not needed are not produced in the first place. This saves resources in production, logistics and transportation.
Sometimes items end up where they shouldn’t be — whether due to customers changing their minds or non-compliance with the planogram. TORY® to go not only records the exact quantity but also the location of RFID-labeled products and transfers them to a map. This allows you to ensure that everything in your stores is in its proper place.
The data records collected by TORY® RFID can be easily integrated into verious ERP systems, are therefore centrally available and can be flexibly evaluated and managed.
To ensure the safety of our products, we integrate intelligent sensor technology into our AMRs. In combination with our in-house navigation software, the sensors ensure reliable obstacle avoidance and a high level of driving safety. So safe that nothing stands in the way of use in dynamic environments and human-robot collaboration!

TORY®
Retail media, shopping assistant and shelf scanner in one
TORY® is an absolute all-rounder when it comes to retail. On its large LED screens, it creates space for targeted advertising and information – directly on the sales floor. Customers can also communicate with the autonomous robot in a natural way and use it as an assistant. With its shelf scanning function, TORY detects gaps on the shelf, price errors or planogram deviations, among other things.
TORY® to go
Inventory in smaller stores
The use of autonomous systems is often not worthwhile in smaller business premises. We have therefore created an alternative for the TORY® RFID, the TORY® to go. By pushing it through the store and storage area, RFID tagged items can be recorded and localized, just like with its autonomous big brother. This means that even smaller stores can benefit from the advantages of RFID and make stocktaking much easier.
