Inventory optimization saves money and conserves resources
A good overview of available goods is the basis for success in retail. Optimizing the inventory creates an important balancing act. Higher availability of goods increases customer satisfaction in the long term and leads to fuller shopping baskets. The reduction of excess inventory leads to fewer returns of unsold goods and their overproduction, so that valuable resources as well as production, transportation and disposal costs can be saved.
RFID technologies play an important role here. They are used by many retailers to ensure high-quality inventory control through real-time data, trigger precise reorders, and avoid out-of-stock situations. The technology minimizes the risk of incorrect entries or overlooked items.
Ideally, as a retailer, you have a daily overview of a store’s inventory and know where each product is located within the store. This requires daily inventory tracking, which, even with handheld scanners, involves significant personnel effort and provides no insight into the exact location of stock on the sales floor.
Fast inventory tracking and product localization with TORY®to go
TORY® to go, unlike TORY® RFID, is a device that is pushed through the store. This allows even small or compact stores to benefit from RFID tracking. Inventory can be recorded faster than with manual counting or using a handheld scanner. This enables retailers to check stock levels daily and trigger optimized reorders based on actual demand. Since TORY to go also determines the position of items and transfers them to a map, you always have an overview of whether products are placed according to your planogram. The inventory data can be seamlessly integrated into ERP systems.
Highlights
Mit TORY® to go, an inventory can be carried out every day! This means that you as a retailer always have the data you need to (re)order goods when required. Overstocks can be minimized using real data without jeopardizing the availability of goods.
The regular use of an inventory robot and the resulting stock optimization has several effects: Oders can be adjusted to actual demand. The store's warehouse is therefore optimally stocked at all times to ensure sufficient replenishment for the sales floor without being overfilled. This minimizes returns of unsold goods and, ideally, goods that are not needed are not produced in the first place. This saves resources in production, logistics and transportation.
Sometimes items end up where they shouldn’t be — whether due to customers changing their minds or non-compliance with the planogram. TORY® to go not only records the exact quantity but also the location of RFID-labeled products and transfers them to a map. This allows you to ensure that everything in your stores is in its proper place.
The data records collected by TORY® to go can be easily integrated into verious ERP systems, are therefore centrally available and can be flexibly evaluated and managed.

TORY®
Retail media, shopping assistant and shelf scanner in one
TORY® is an absolute all-rounder when it comes to retail. On its large LED screens, it creates space for targeted advertising and information – directly on the sales floor. Customers can also communicate with the autonomous robot in a natural way and use it as an assistant. With its shelf scanning function, TORY detects gaps on the shelf, price errors or planogram deviations, among other things.
TORY® RFID
autonomous inventory
The use of autonomous systems is often not worthwhile in smaller business premises. We have therefore created an alternative for the TORY® RFID, the TORY® to go. By pushing it through the store and storage area, RFID tagged items can be recorded and localized, just like with its autonomous big brother. This means that even smaller stores can benefit from the advantages of RFID and make stocktaking much easier.
